In 2020 the BHA launched the Badock Hall Bursaries to which any Badock Hall Student may apply.

This bursary is meant for students to help them develop, either within their subject discipline or outside of it.

There are no strict criteria as to what students may apply to the fund for, however as an example it might be participating or setting up a community project, or undertaking a summer placement of value to the student and others.

[Please note that due to the current global situation we are requesting that applicants do not request funds for international travel, and ensure that any activities funded can be done in a safe, covid-secure manner.]

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 12th March 2021

We awarded our first bursaries in 2020 and two of our scholars recorded short films about how they used their awards. These were originally made for the Bristol Alumni Network Spring Showcase in February 2021.

2020 Bursary Launch Event

On March 10th 2020, the BHA formally awarded scholarships to five students within the hall, with a keynote lecture from Dr Thomas Richardson (see below). Details of the students and the stories from their bursaries will be shared upon completion.
